Rachel + Joel both met while working for the Star News in Wilmington, NC. Their love of writing and each other has taken them around the country but they decided to come back to Wilmington to tie the knot at 128 South in historic downtown Wilmington. Their impeccable style and love for each other made for a perfect night. Their love for one and other can only be summed up by one word: genuine. And you could see that everyone there was genuinely happy for them. The wedding was so well put together with touches like Edison lights hanging from the ceremony tent, impeccably written vows, and a wedding cake designed and made by the groom himself. I’m excited to see where Rachel + Joel’s love takes them. And hopefully it will bring them back to Wilmington one day. But until then, I can say I was honored to have spent the time with them that I did and witness one of the most important days of their lives.
Rachel had a piece of her mother’s wedding dress stitched into hers.
And tomorrow I’ll be showing you Rachel + Joel’s first look and talking about why I think they’re a good idea!
