We have to fight more and more every day for our marriages and this is a great way to do that. Men are constantly bombarded with images and it’s important to stay focused on each other as much as possible. In the same respect, the way media makes women feel today, every woman can use this experience to boost their self-confidence and give themselves the opportunity to see the beauty I see in them. Find things you love about yourself! Plus it makes the perfect gift for any husband or groom! It ends up being 2 gifts in 1: a great experience for you and an amazing gift for him!
Would a guy really want a boudoir album as a gift?
Yes, Yes, and double YES!!! I have spoken to almost every gentleman who has received a boudoir album from their wife and I’ve never seen a better reaction over a gift they’ve received. The smiles on their face are from ear to ear. They always thank me a million times for helping their wives give them such an awesome gift.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions take place at my studio in Wilmington. A professional hair and makeup also comes to the studio to pamper you before your session.
What if I’m not comfortable with my body or I’m not “skinny enough?
Any body type can do a boudoir session! Young, old, skinny, fat. I will make you look beautiful, I promise. What's attractive is your attitude and the sexiness you exude. I've had clients of all different demographics so anything goes! It's my job to make any body type work and help you feel good about yourself!
What should I wear?
Anything that makes you feel sexy or that he finds you sexy in! You can be as modest or as risquée as you want. You can look sexy in anything from a sweater to a body suit! It's all about the attitude. I hold a consultative phone call with my clients to help them prepare for their session and allow them to create a mood board for their session.
How long are the sessions?
Hair and makeup takes about 90 minutes and then the session is 60 minutes long.
What does the session fee include?
The session fee includes a 60 minute photo shoot, consultative phone call, and professional hair and makeup. Then you purchase your gift (album, print box, wall art etc.) separately when you see the products in person at your photo reveal approximately 2 weeks after your session.
Do you photoshop my images?
I try to get as much right "in camera" as possible, meaning I pose you in ways that are the most flattering so not much editing is needed. I only edit for lighting and color corrections, and the occasional blemish (or scar at your request). If you end up requesting more editing once you see your images, then we can discuss an additional editing quote. But trust me, you'll have a hard time believing it's you in the images because you'll look SO good!
Should I bring a friend?
I’ve found the sessions to be more productive when you can focus on the camera and listen to the instruction I'm giving you, but feel free to bring a friend along if that makes you feel more comfortable. This is also a gift to yourself and I want you to be able to enjoy the experience and gain confidence- not leave feeling the opposite!
Should I have professional hair and makeup done?
Professional hair and makeup is included in your session fee. But I encourage you to get into the spirit and pamper yourself! We can use your Pinterest inspiration board to show the hair and makeup artist looks that you like.
Do you post these images online? What if I don’t want anyone to see them?
First things first. Your privacy is EXTREMELY important to me. I don't post them on my blog or my website. If you give me permission to use them, I only use them to show prospective clients in a password protected gallery. I believe they are only for the eyes of your hubby. Your viewing gallery will also be password protected. I include a daytime look in your session so you have some images you can print or have framed that you can be proud of.
If I do a boudoir session as a gift, how far in advance should I schedule it?
I recommend you schedule it at least 6 weeks before you need the final product.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. The session fee is due to hold your date and acts as your deposit.
